What a relaxing and peaceful world! The orchard in the sky garden, the music, and the laid-back UI make me feel so calm and cozy!
The gameplay stays relaxing, but I end up playing with dollar signs in my eyes as the fruit trade prices keep inflating...
In the later part, the growth speed of the fruit trees could maybe take 5 to 10 times longer.
Planting tons of fruit trees and covering the whole island with them at the end is super fun!

Thank you so much for playing! I can't wait to watch the video :D

That was awesome -- I really wish it was a full game! I would love to play it longer, find new plants from "exploring the world" etc.  Maybe different regions would be friendly to different plants, and certain plants could be hardier than others -- so there would be more strategy in the crossbreeding, as you tried to get a profitable plant that also grew well in many garden plots.

I agree with the suggestion that hovering over cards should show the plant's stats, and I found the card-merging a bit finicky at times: sometimes I merged cards by accident, other times I tried to merge cards and they missed each other.  Maybe that's just because I'm using a touchpad.

Another suggestion: our "research" panel could include a family tree of different crossbreeds.  I made my own in Paint.net, which was doable because there were only three parent species -- but it would get a bit overwhelming with more than that.  Also, I wished quite a few times that I could rearrange the cards in my hand (to sort them by type and level).

I'll definitely be playing again as-is, though; it was very relaxing.

Thank you so much for the feedbacks! It really give me a lot of inspiration and motivation to keep develop this  gamewith all the cool new idea and see where it end up :D

I'm really happy you enjoyed playing this and hopefully there will be more to come :D

Such a fun and cozy game, well polished and love the cute artstyle ^.^

Hey Finn, this game is amazing! I really loved it :D

Here's some feedback:

  1. Hovering over the cards could show their production and time, like when you hold them in place on the ground
  2. Dragging the card to the board could have a transluscent arrow showing the position, dragging the card itself some times will obstruct the view.
  3. It took me a while to understand that cross polination was supposed to be done in the hand, not on the map, I was expecting putting two seeds on the same plot. Mauybe a quick pop up tutorial could explain it when purchasing the upgrade.
  4. The initial map is huge, and we have very few seeds, it could be expanded via upgrades
  5. Crops that were cross-pollinated appear the same as the regular ones when they grow, it would be nice if they were slightly different, maybe some changes in the hue or size
  6. Buying the increase hand size upgrade with a full hand won;t update the max size, players need to use one card before being able to hold more cards.
  7. Once we start mixing varieties it would be nice to have a simple hint of what the mix would produce before confirming it. I sometimes got lost with the varieties.

Well, I think that's it for starting :P

I think an upgraded version of this game could do well on commercial websites, have you considered publishing it anywhere else?

Thank you so much for the feedbacks, those are some great ideas, definitely going in the to do list :D

I would really love to develop this into a full-fledge game so right now I  love seeing feedbacks like this and have people showing a real interest in seeing more of the game :D

Thank you so much for playing! Always nice to see you :D

lol i produced the edgecase where i invested all my lemons into pollination, but have no more money to continue playing ^^

Thank you so much for playing! I gotta be honest, this came up last minute when I was testing so the only option available to me was pray :D

Hopefully I can come up with something in the future to prevent this, thank you so much for the feedback :D

Well, this looks beautiful and is *very cozy*. Great job on getting the card animation to work, that can be very tricky.

I played a bunch of this game actually, it might be my most played one so far. Though i dont think there was any strategy to it. I just drew 5 seeds, then planted them all in a clump. Nothing ever seemed to happen? which was strange.

As i write this, i can see one of your images is a gif of seeds combining together. i had NO idea that was a feature LOL.

well done, this is a good entry to the jam :) very impressive for 10 days work.

Thank you so much for playing!

My plan was that for a jam entry I want a smooth game loop where you can kinda turn your brain off and enjoy then get people feedbacks on the game to decide how to expand the design :)

Your feedback helps a ton, I really appreciate it :D :D
